Beautifully restored Bialystoker synagogue (1826), with its hand-painted ceiling,
once a hidden stop along the Underground Railroad
Kehila Kedosha Janina (1926), the only Romaniote synagogue in the Western Hemisphere
and the only Greek synagogue in New York . It has a museum of Romaniote history
and of Greek Jews during the Holocaust
Beth Hamedrash Hagodol (1850), home to the “Kovno Rebbe”, the esteemed
Holocaust scholar Ephraim Oshry, and the first synagogue to become a New York
City landmark,

Special guest appearance by Rabbi Leibel Groner - personal secretary for the
Lubavitcher Rebbes for over twenty years. Rabbi Groner will share insights into
the Rebbes life, as well as never heard before stories.
Saturday Night
7:00 PM – Special trip to the Ohel, resting place of the Lubavitcher
Rebbe. The Ohel is visited by tens of thousands every year. Jews and
non-Jews of every type come to the Ohel to pay respect as well as to
pray and ask for blessings.
8:00 PM – Dinner at Dan Carmel Pizzaria
Return to Host Family
Sunday Morning
8:45 AM – Group Matzah Baking at an authentic Matzah bakery.
9:30 AM – Breakfast at Bunch-O-Bagels
10:30 AM – Tour of the Rebbe’s priceless library
11:15 AM – Return to Virginia . Estimated time of arrival 4:30pm
