| Legacy Heritage Fund Limited is pleased to offer a remarkable programming opportunity for Jewish communities and college campuses across the US | ||
This deeply moving ceremony is dedicated annually to 12 individuals who have made outstanding contributions to Israeli society at large. The ceremony includes greetings by the speaker of the (the Israeli Parliament), a dramatic presentation, a ritual march of soldiers carrying the , forming elaborate patterns (such as a , , etc.) and the lighting of twelve torches (one for each of the ). The honored Israeli citizens, light the torches, as beacons. This is an opportunity to see and appreciate the vibrancy and creativity of an Israel that is often neglected, and will celebrate the 100th anniversary of Tel Aviv. The televised ceremony, which will have English subtitles, could be a program in and of itself, or the springboard for a wider discussion for you community. The ceremony will be televised in the US on Tuesday, April 28th at 8:00pm EST.
